Sun May 10 2020 Reykjavik Dinner
On arrival and after clearing local immigration, meet our local tour manager for a 1-hour transfer to Reykjavik where we will enjoy a 3-hour drive and walking tour of Iceland’s capital. Arrival at our hotel late morning for an independent lunch before hotel check-in. Balance of afternoon is left open before our welcome dinner this evening.
Overnight for the next three nights at the CenterHotel Klöpp in the heart of Reykjavik.
Mon May 11 2020 Walking tour day Breakfast and packed lunch
Breakfast at our hotel and meet our local tour manager for a full day’s tour starting with a south coast drive to Village Vik (it is also possible to hike along the river up from Skogafoss Waterfall – one of the attractions on the way to Village Vik) where we will have an option to (a) hike up the Mountain Reynisfjall (app 2,000 feet) with excellent views of the sea OR (b) hike up to Ingolf’s Grave on Ingolfshofdi Promontory or (c) a two hour walk to the airplane fuselage on Myrdalssandur Sandy Plain.
Late afternoon return to Reykjavik for an open evening.
Tues May 12 2020 Hiking tour day Breakfast and packed lunch
Breakfast at our hotel and meet our local tour manager for a full day’s tour – this will start with a one hour drive to the start of our 5-hour hike to see Glymur Waterfall the second-highest waterfall in Iceland, with a cascade of 198 m. It was long regarded as the tallest until being surpassed by Morsárfoss, near Morsárjökull. Glymur is situated at the end of the Hvalfjörður. The river Botnsá runs from the Hvalvatn lake and after a short distance the water falls down alongside the Hvalfell mountain into a steep canyon.

Wed 13 May 2020 Ireland Lunch and Dinner
Meet our Driver-Guide in the arrival hall of Dublin Airport. Depart and enjoy a lunch at the Man o’ War Irish Pub a short 20-minute drive from the Airport. Following lunch, we tour to Galway with a visit to Clonmacnoise.
Founded by St. Ciarán in the mid-6th century on the eastern bank of the River Shannon. The site includes the ruin of a cathedral, 7 churches (10th to 13th century), 2 round towers, 3 high crosses and the largest collection of Early Christian grave slabs in Western Europe. The original high crosses and a selection of grave slabs are on display in the visitor centre.

Walking tour of Galway City with a local Guide. Starting on the Salthill Promenade on Galway Bay, walking on to the Claddagh (the oldest part of Galway City) and past the old Claddagh Church, into the old Galway dock and over the Salmon weir bridge, up high street, Galway Cathedral and finishing in Eyre Square. After our walk our walking guide will join us for a group Pub Lunch in Galway at Busker Browns. Evening is left open in Galway for individual exploration.

Fri 15 May 2020 Galway / Killarney Breakfast and Dinner
Breakfast and depart as we tour to Killarney. At Doolin village you will meet our local walking guide who will take us on the Doolin Cliff Top Walk which will brings us to the visitor centre at the Cliffs of Moher. This is a spectacular cliff walk with commanding views of both the Cliffs of Moher and the Atlantic. Please keep in mind however it is a cliff walk and the path is narrow in places. (**these trails are safe and well-travelled however in sections they do hug the edge of cliff faces)
Grade: Moderate. Time: 3.5 Hours. Distance: 8 Kms approx. and requires sturdy footwear & a good rain jacket
Visit the Cliffs of Moher visitor centre, where we can purchase refreshments after our walk.
Travel through The Burren National Park - famous for its Lunar-like Limestone landscape and its unique flora. About 20 species of orchids grow wild here. We then travel on to Killimer Habour on to banks of the Shannon River and take the Shannon Ferry across into County Kerry.

Sat 16 May 2020 Ring of Kerry Breakfast and Lunch
Today we travel the Ring of Kerry and then stop for a group lunch in The Blind Piper Pub in Caherdaniel where our local guide will join us after lunch and take us over the on the “Old Butter Road” over the hills to the village of Castlecove. This outstanding well - marked trail has commanding views to the south of the spectacular Beara Peninsula & Kenmare Bay including the islands of Deenish, Scarriff and the Bull Rock.
Grade: Casual. Time: 2 Hours. Distance 5 Kms and requires sturdy footwear & a good rain jacketMeet Driver-Guide in Castlecove and continue to Sneem village before travelling up over Molls Gap, with a stop at Ladies View over the lakes of Killarney for a picture. Late in the afternoon we travel to Killarney.

Sun 17 May 2020 Cork Breakfast and Dinner
Breakfast and an open morning free in Killarney. For those interested, time for church or a leisurely city walk to do some shopping. We then tour to Cork where we will enjoy a walking tour of Cork City with a local guide. We will enjoy a “walk” through the history of Cork and its architecture including medieval Red Abbey, St Finbarr’s Cathedral, University College Cork, Shannon Bells and Tower at St. Annes Church and Old English Market.
Dinner and overnight at the Maldron Hotel, Cork.
Mon 18 May 2020 Kilkenny Breakfast and Lunch
Travel to Kilkenny. Enroute we head out on the Ballycotton Cliff walk with a local guide. The Cliff Walk is from Ballycotton village to Ballyandreen beach along a track flanked by meadows on one side and the ocean on the other. The walk extends over 8 km on a foot worn track along the cliff face with stunning views and passes Ballytrasna beach. (**these trails are safe and well-travelled however in sections they do hug the edge of cliff faces)
Grade: Moderate. Time: 3.5 Hours. Distance: 8 Kms approx. - this walk requires sturdy footwear & a good rain jacket
Group lunch in the Old Whiskey Distillery in Middleton. Visit the old whiskey distillery in Middleton for the Jameson Experience. Tour of the old distillery where we see the machinery and manual tools used in the past. There is also a giant waterwheel which once powered all the machinery and still turns today. Our distillery guide will explain the process of distilling whiskey and show us the largest pot still in the world. The tour ends in the Jameson bar where there will be a tasting of Whiskey.
Dine in Kilkenny City on our own and overnight at the Ormonde Kilkenny.
Tue 19 May 2020 Dublin Breakfast and Dinner
Morning departure for Dublin. On arrival we enjoy a guided walking tour of Dublin including a visit to Trinity College, Dublin Castle, St Patricks Cathedral and then finish at the Guinness Store House for a tour and a glass of “Ireland’s Finest”!
Farewell Dinner with Irish music and dance night at the Merry Ploughboys Pub and overnight in Dublin at the Clayton Hotel Leopardstown.
