Cambodia and Vietnam are neighbouring Southeast Asian countries with ancient historical roots and complex relationships that include period of conflict and cooperation.

Discover the rich culture and heritage of both countries, from breathtaking landscapes and UNESCO World Heritage sites to unique agricultural producers such as a Lotus Silk Farm and Cambodia’s largest dairy farm.

March 30    Arrival/ Phnom Penh    ( - / - / D )

Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, meet our English-speaking Tour Manager and transfer to the city for a short tour before we check in to our hotel and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

March 31    Phnom Penh – Kirisu Farm    ( B / L / - )

Our group will enjoy breakfast at the hotel before driving south of Phnom Penh to visit Kirisu Farms - www.kirisufarm.com. This is Cambodia’s largest and most advanced dairy farm, located on a sprawling 300-hectare site in Phnom Tamao, Takeo province. It’s a bold leap into high-tech agriculture, blending traditional farming with cutting-edge innovation.

The trip will go through the country roads of Cambodia where you can see greens and paddy rice fields... which is one of export products in Cambodia economy. We will also visit a Rice Mill to see the local products for export.

Lunch at local restaurant.

This afternoon we learn about Cambodia's tragic past on a guided tour of the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school which served as a Khmer Rouge torture center. It's estimated that more than 20,000 people were held and tortured here. Afterwards we hear about a brighter period in Cambodian history with a visit to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda.

Return to hotel, dinner on your own.

April 1    Phnom Penh – Siem Reap    ( B / L / D )

In the morning, we will say farewell to Phnom Penh and take the scenic route to Siem Reap, our home for the next few nights. We will stop along the way to visit a rubber, cassava and banana plantation in the Chamkar Loeu District of Kampon Cham Provide.

Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant along the way to Siem Reap. Arrival in Siem Reap is expected late afternoon.

April 2    Siem Reap    ( B / L / - )

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for a visit to one of the most well-known sites in Cambodia. The group will explore the Angkor Complex at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for the impressive Bayon Temple, with its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. We will then stop by the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, followed by a short and visit to the 8-hectare nursery, one of the four locations under the management of the Apsara Authority's Department of Forest Management.
Note: Minibuses will be used for the Angkor Wat visit as there are size restrictions on buses entering the complex.

Following this we continue to visit Ta Prohm a 12th century Buddhist temple,overgrown with jungle and admired by romantics for their dreamlike qualities, and the Angkor Wat Temple.

Lunch in a local restaurant

In the afternoon, we will enjoy a guided tour of a Lotus Silk Farm, featuring a boat ride, tea and biscuits, a bouquet of flowers, and crafting lotus-based items (lotus yarn bracelet, lotus paper, dried lotus seed bracelets), and surprise gifts for participants.

April 3    Siem Reap - Ho Chi Minh    ( B / L / - )

On our last day in Cambodia, we explore the Tonle Sap Lake area which includes a boat trip to the floating village of Chong Khneas, a visit to the Gecko Center and a crocodile and fish farm.

Lunch will be in a local restaurant, before some free time in Siem Reap or a visit to the Lotus Farm to see how they make silk. We will then head over to the airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

Transfer to the hotel and check in.

April 4    Ho Chi Minh    ( B / L / D )

On our first day in Vietnam, we explore sites around Ho Chi Minh city including the War Remnants Museum, The Cathedral, Post Office and the Opera House.

After lunch we will have free time to explore the city on your own. Some suggestions for things to do:

  • Ben Thanh Market
  • Evening food tour
  • Nguyen Hue Walking Street
  • Saigon Skydeck
  • Tao Can Park

April 5    Ho Chi Minh    ( B / L / D )

Our day will begin with a drive to the Cu Chi district, with our first stop at the Agricultural Management Center for research and development and Hi-Tech park. This is a government-backed project which promotes urban agriculture through research, technology application and the production of high-quality crops and livestock.

Next, we shall tour a family orchid, mushroom and worm farm before lunch at Ben Nay restaurant.

In the afternoon we will visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels, a byzantine maze of underground passages, chamber rooms and booby traps used by the Viet Cong soldiers during the war as hiding, communication andsupply routes, field hospitals and storage spaces for food and weapons.

In the evening, we will have a buffet dinner on a cruise ship riding along the Saigon River.

April 6    Ho Chi Minh – My Tho - Can Tho    ( B / L / D )

After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and drive to Can Tho. Along the way we will stop at Than Cuu Nghia Cooperative which produces vegetables on more than 300 Ha. On arrival in Can Tho we will have a quick lunch before visiting a local fish farm to hear about local aquaculture.

April 7    Can Tho - Hanoi    ( B / L / - )

After breakfast and check out, we take a boat ride on the river to Cai Rang floating market where agri-products are sold on the river. We continue by boat to visit one of the local orchards to see fruit harvesting as well as fishing in natural ponds (fishing is done by hands using traditional fishing equipment – note there will be time to change clothes before and after this).

We will have lunch at the orchard and try our hand at making Banh Xeo (a traditional pancake).

After lunch, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Hanoi.

On arrival, we check in to the hotel and have free time for dinner on your own.

April 8    Hanoi    ( B / L / D )

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, we will head to the outskirts of Hanoi to visit a traditional Vietnamese market which includes local produce. Shortly after we walk to see a vegetable plantation before taking a cooking class and enjoying lunch with our hosts.

In the afternoon we return to Hanoi and visit the “Hanoi Hilton” and Old Quarter area before dinner at a local restaurant. Hoa Lo Prison was used for US prisoners of war during the Vietnam War (referred to as the American war in Vietnam), and eventually became known as the Hanoi Hilton.

April 9    Ha Long Bay Cruise    ( B / L / D )

Breakfast at the hotel before checking out and departing for Ha Long Bay. Hạ Long Bay, in northeast Vietnam, is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. Junk boat tours and sea kayak expeditions take visitors past islands named for their shapes, including Stone Dog and Teapot islets. The region is popular for scuba diving, rock climbing and hiking, particularly in mountainous Cát Bà National Park.

After checking in and enjoying lunch on the cruise, there are multiple options for the group to explore to discover the beauty of the bay: hike to the caves, take a paddle boat out, kayak or simply relax on the cruise.

April 10    Ha Long Bay - Hanoi    ( B / L / D )

For the early risers, enjoy sunset over the Bay or take part in an early morning Tai Chi class. After breakfast we return to the mainland and return to Hanoi. The group will have free time for shopping or independent sightseeing in Hanoi before a farewell dinner.

Passports:

Both Vietnam and Cambodia require Visa's for entry which must be purchased individually. Both can be requested online:
Canadian passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your date of arrival in Cambodian and Vietnam. Should you be travelling on a passport other than a Canadian Passport please notify us and we will check the requirements.

December 2, 2025 - January 1, 2026:
  • Double occupancy $3,775 CAD

January 2 - 30, 2026:
  • Double occupancy $4,025 CAD

Optional Group Flight Cost:

  • Eva Air requires ticketing by December 21st therefore we must have the full payment in for the flight cost of $2,025 by December 15th, 2025.
  • We require a minimum of 10 passengers to offer group space. If we do not have 10 passengers by December 15th we will release the space.
  • Final payment due date: February 10th, 2026.
  • Go / No go date of tour: January 14th, 2026 - We require a minimum of 20 passengers to offer the tour. Should we not have the required numbers we will refund any deposits made.

Payment Requirements:

  • Deposit Requirement at Booking:
    $700 per person
  • 50% of Remaining Deposit Due:
    December 15th for land only guests
  • 50% of Remaining Deposit Due:
    December 15th, 2025 for land AND total amount due for Eva Air for guests opting for package including flights
  • Final Payment Date:
    February 10th, 2026

Cancellation Penalties:

  • Flights: group space must be released OR fully paid by December 15th, 2025
  • Land: The tour go/ no go date is January 15th, 2026 when the deposit becomes non-refundable
  • Final payment: February 10th, 2026

NOTE:

In the event that a confirmed traveler has to cancel after non-refundable payments are made but finds a replacement OR one is available from wait-lists, between date of booking and 45 days prior to date of departure, a flat $50.00 (plus tax) administration fee will be charged.


Insurance:

We strongly recommend adequate travel insurance for travellers. Package tour insurance can be purchased through Frederick Travel, we would be happy to quote on an insurance needs. Optional travel insurance can also be purchased through any Canadian travel agency or insurance broker. We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance and encourage our clients to discuss specific travel insurance needs with their local supplier(s).
